There is a mountaintop crater on the grasslands. Inside the crater, tombs are scattered.
On the south slope of the round mountaintop crater, there is a small valley that shows traces of a lava eruption. In the grass covering the top, there is a spring.
The gentle east slope is covered with sparse Pinus thunbergii. On the valley of the south slope, silk trees grow along with surrounded by Ligularia fischeri. At the base, Hydrangea serrata for. acuminata group grows.
It was called Semi Oreum since there was a spring on the mountaintop. Now it is called Samiyang Ak or Sami Ak in Chinese characters. "Semi" means "spring" in the Jeju dialect.
